Armagh GAA is pleased to announce the launch of its first ever live streaming service, “ARMAGH TV”. The first game to be streamed live on ArmaghGAA.net will be the senior team’s Power NI McKenna Cup game against Cavan on Saturday 12th January at 7pm. This is the senior team’s first game of the season and no doubt fans from the county will be coming out in huge numbers to support the team and management of 2013, the streaming will allow our fans who can’t make the game or are abroad to view it on their computers.
The online channel will carry a host of Club matches from this year’s championship held in the Athletic Grounds as well as live shows in the coming months with famous faces from around the county.
The key motivating factor behind the project was to give access to our supporters now spread across the globe due to the massive increases in emigration figures in recent years. This free streaming of games is a way in which, no matter where you are in the World, you will feel right at home.
The entire operation is produced by a team of local volunteers from Armagh and headed by the County IT Officer Kevin Fox. The main man behind the mic will be a voice of experience, Brendan McCann, who was Armagh’s PRO in 2002/03 and directing all camera operations and editing will be Paul Heaney.
Keep an eye on our website this week for daily releases of Armagh TV video footage with players and others around the County set up.
