    Default 1950 Railway Cup medal

Hey everyone, I have a mate who is selling a 1950 Gold Railway cup winners medal, in mint condition, he has no idea if its valuable or not, he said he was gonna sell it for the gold but i think it would be better going to a GAA collector, anyone got any ideas if its worth anything or should he cash in and sell it for gold? If it was me id keep it like!

Sell to a GAA collector - how much does he want for it
no matter which great player we think of they all started their careers at a club - the club is the cornerstone of the GAA foundation - lets keep it that way

Thats the thing lads, he hasnt a notion about value. He sent me pics of the medal and it is imaculate condition literally as if it was the same shape as it was in 1950! I suppose he would be open to offers. Do any of you know GAA collectors in the county? Dharma are you a collector? What would you say it was be woth, its pure gold like.

I would be interested in the medal as my father played on that team and his medal seems to have dissapeared.
