Local Club: AN. Other | Aidan O'Rourke has joined his former Armagh team-mate Kieran McGeeney as assistant manager in Kildare. The pair starred together on the Orchard County side that famously won Sam Maguire in 2002. O'Rourke retired from intercounty football last year and was manager of Queen's University for two years. He follows in the footsteps of another Armagh man, Paul Grimley, by becoming No.2 in the Short Grass County. His former intercounty captain McGeeney has been a huge success since taking the reins as Lilywhite boss in October 2007.

Local Club: HARPS | I am sure these two will do very well together, O'Rourke is a shrewd man and is said to be one of the most tacticially adept players in the Country, his familiarity with McGeeney will certainly help the Lilly Whites and it should be a smooth transition. Kildare are my second team, I have nothing but respect for the two men and I would love to see them succeed with Kildare. OF course I would love to see both get a shot at the Armagh job when it next becomes available but heres hoping Paddy and co will do great things with Armagh before they get their shot. |

Local Club: AN. Other | I'd like to see Kildare do well this year in Leinster - should be an interesting championship! |
