i thought if you played in the SFC last year it ruled you out of the Junior competetion this year, therefore they would actually have a weakened team...

Notice I never said Killeavy would be stronger come championship time, I was just pointing out bizarre situation they may find themselves in, where they will probably be replacing some of their better players on the 2nd's team with those from the 1st's who are eligible to play.
(i.e. James Donnelly, Kealan Downey, Conor King, David Markey) Have I missed any 1st's out who would be eligible for the 2nd's championship game?

Is Barry McKevitt eligible for Killean against Annaghmore or did he play championship for Killeavy last season?

Nah from what I know he left due to other reasons. He'd definitely start for the firsts this year in my opinion. I presumed he started last year too.

ther will be no1 from the first team droping down 2 the seconds! wat wud be the point? lads have trained hard all year for the seconds and deserve their chance in the championship so it will only be 2nds players playin championship for us

Nope, you're thinking of B c'ship! If you play c'ship with the senior team (Jnr, Inter, Sen) you then can't play in the following years B c'ship!

You can play in a lower c'ship grade and then move up to a higher grade in the same season i.e. play for Killevey ii's in the Jnr then play for Killevey i's in the Sen!

However once you play Sen c'ship you can't play at the lower grade again that season!

Yeah I always thought if you played SFC that barred you from playin IFC or JFC the next year (unless your club drops a grade of course) ?
