Jarleth getting carried away again and facts don't come into the thinking when 'literary licence' has gone mad!
While I have great respect for Culloville and their gaelic traditions within the so called 'tiny area' but that their underage work and thier 'breakfast making' doesn't and shouldn't be used to glamorise some of the 'darker arts' practiced by their team on occasions.
Jarleth actually causes offence by his defence and the tone of it and he might have been better saying nothing (not his style)...
Every Single Ball!!
I read Jarlath's article defending Culloville.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it a Culloville player that carried out that disgraceful attack on young Nugent from Maghery, last year?
What say you now Lone Ranger quick to rebut the individual - on topic please - no case for the defence, methinks that is why you have a go at the poster - as usual. I see somethings haven't changed....
Every Single Ball!!
Just to be clear for the more obtuse people round here - I don't condone violence of that sort on the field and never have but it is notable that the first time you raise your head in quite some time all you can manage is to have a snipe at a club representing Armagh in Ulster and a man who gave his all in the county jersey - in that much at least you are right , some things have not changed!
With contributions like that can i suggest that you take another break please only this time make it permanent!
You can have a go all you like at me and also quote the credentials of the manager ( I have no problem there) and I supported Culloville on a number of occasions during their Ulster journey - that doesn't stop me from also being able to be rational regarding some of their 'tactics' for want of a better term and also being able to question/disagree with that part of their makeup.
As with all clubs there are many good men & women involved, both on and off the park and they all deserve praise, as do the members of all clubs who keep them afloat in these trying times, however, to make them out to be in some way better than others - no - reality kicks in.. that is all I am pointing out.
If you want to make more of it than that it is your call, I can't/won't stop you doing that..........![]()
Every Single Ball!!
Happy to draw a line here - you and I are unlikely to agree
I would just clarify that when i said you had sniped at a club representing Armagh in Ulster and a man who gave his all in the county jersey - i was actually referring to Jarleth Burns (not John Mc - though it applies there too i suppose)
Both of them will forever hold a great place in the hearts of all Armagh fans for their exploits on the field in County jerseys, however, and we won't agree, it doesn't make Jarleth's article any better or worse because he was a County player (so that isn't the yardstick I used to measure it)
I stand by my assumption that:"As with all clubs there are many good men & women involved, both on and off the park and they all deserve praise, as do the members of all clubs who keep them afloat in these trying times, however, to make them out to be in some way better than others - no - reality kicks in.. that is all I am pointing out"
His article clearly has that slant and as such is actually 'poor' journalistically.
