cruppen and kileavy do look like early favourites along with someone else.. but with this split in the league might be hard to predict. few home games and handy away games could be enough to save someone in bottom half

tones as well. Id say harps, clan na gael and possibly the nab be close to the bottom. 3 going down makes it interesting, ourselves and killeavey have the intermediate as a fall back too, which means teams would need to be 5th bottom to ensure survival!

I reckon harps will be in trouble, Kileavy will be fine, also a lot depends on Stevies decision.

Thy were relegated 2 years in a row and finished 5th i think in div 2 last year, so would be one of the favourites for drop id say?Harps will have nippy all year and white and mcshane from the minors probably be a help.

Can only give predictions from what i seen last year and what way last years divisions finshed up, and on that i would have to say Harps, killeavy and carrickcruppen will be in the relegation dogfight. Could well be proved wrong however!

Cant see cruppen struggling, especially after 5-6 emigrants returning home from America / Australia

i think carrickcruppen will suprise everyone this year. i know i am from carrickcruppen but i can see a top 6 finish and a good run in the championship for the crupps.we have about 5 boys who have returned home from emigration who are all county potential/ played at the county at underage level. they have a great goalkepper and a very tight denfence. with steven herold and patrick mccullagh returning from new york they will be a midfield to be threatened with and the only midfield i could see testing them would be the crossmaglen midfield. with an attacking line up of paul keenan, billy joe padden, declan carvil, plug patton and decky monaghon they will take some serious stopping. carrickcruppen to surpise all. I wouldn't have Cross down as having the best midfield in the county (best everywhere else mind you), that said Cruppen had a serious team emerging before those players emigrated.

Well given that you have now spilled the beans with a fairly detailed rundown of returning players and just about an entire forward line, surely you're doing the element of surprise no favours. Cheers cruppen lad.

Keenan, padden and monaghan all played last year for definite, not sure about the other 2 lads. McCullough and Harold will certainly be a big help around mf, harold wouldn't have been a million miles away from county panel before he left. Is Marty Ferris home?

Lurgan derby has to be the pick of the bunch, any chance it could be an evening game to allow a few neutrals the chance to head over?

Ballymacnab v Granemore also a great pairing early in the season.
