Are there any real mismatches here? Other than possibly Ballyhegan? Who will be the favourites?

Good to see Forkill coming down on their high horse, if they think they'll get easy points out Corrinshego and Killean they've another thing coming, especially when half their players have tickets for the states this summer!

Ballyhegan outright favourites, but no team will fear each other and I wouldn't be suprised to see the old Div 4 teams aka Cladaí mixing it at the top with the Div 3 aristocrats.

What's the story with seconds teams? After all the rows last year and the formation of 3 tier league, is there any clarity on what team players can play for? Surely now they'll be recognised as two seperate teams.

Big year for Cladaí, we've been on the weights since October, John Toal has been back at training and we've added another 10 ° slant on our pitch. Keep her Cladaí boysh!

once a player has played as much as 1 min for their first team they are atomaticly ruled out of playing for the 2nds, any player can move up out of seconds but once the get any game time they cannot move down!

Nice to finally see the fixtures, makes all those stamina runs a bit more bearable!!!
Quick question to anyone in the know, does the county board intend on running fixtures on a Wed / Sun basis for the remainder of the year or is this just kicking us off?

I think a lot of punters have tipped B'Hegan to give this section a run..indeed some have stated that they are mis matched/placed. Don't forget they finished just above old Div 3 relegation places last yr and Cross II had 4 games in hand and were only 2 pts behind them!!

Would expect Cross to record an away win and also expect Ballyhegan to be a top 8 club come the split - but promotion????!!

Would look at Forkhill and even Belleek (remember Belleek beat Ballyhegan twice last yr) to also be in the mix.

I think a lot of clubs may well look to play on Friday's as Wednesdays at 7pm are too early at this time of year particularly if clubs have players at uni etc...
