Armagh ladies travelled to the sunny south east on Sunday past taking on Wicklow ladies in their seventh and final round of the National League. From the off set Armagh were down to business, with excellent individual displays coming from Caitlin Malone and Caroline O Hanlon in midfield, and Laura Brown containing Wicklow’s full forward Lucy Mulhall. Wicklow tried their best to keep up with the play but Armagh were able to show their superior skills and strength, in which the scoreline reflected. Corner forward for Wicklow Erinne Murphy was their main threat on the day, she had lightning pace and this again showed with her scoring 1-6 of Wicklows final score. Katie Daly had a fine first start game in nets for the Orchard County with only one passing her. Sinead Mc Cleary again kept the shape in centre half back linking well with captain Mags Mc Alinden who finished with two points on the day. Armagh kept the pressure on the whole day and Wicklow just had no answers.
Final Score Armagh 6-9 Wicklow 1-7.
